Michael Thomas, one of our Trustees, has been reliably and consistently tempting all to indulge in his marvellous range of cakes, gateaux, biscuits and other baked goods at our Open days for many years. 

Michael has lived most of his life in Germany, in Berlin and latterly in Cologne, where he worked as a Senior Social Worker. A life-long interest in baking has resulted in an accumulation of delicious recipes from across Northern Europe and beyond, which are reflected in his offerings at our Open Days.

 Now the Trustees are delighted to be able to offer a modest book containing 37 of these recipes.  

With  a card cover and spiral binding the book has been designed to open flat for easy use in the kitchen.  All recipes have been (thoroughly) tested and adapted for the English baker and are graded in terms of difficulty.  Almost all are illustrated.  There is a brief introduction to the history of the Ellerton Church Preservation Trust and to Michael himself.

The Trust also has a number of postcards, folding cards and guidebooks to the church and to the windows, which are available for sale at our open events.  Any other enquiries about these should be directed to either Phil Thomas or to Ann Sotheran, who will be happy to help further.
